- The Challengers and innovators could be manufacturing companies/ Government agencies or Associations/ Research Organisations/ Private industries/ SME/MSME/ Individual. There is no restriction on who can register on this platform. A
nominal service charge will be applicable for every participant as a problem owner or an innovator.
- RBI mandated KYC is mandatory for any registration.
- The agency/ Individual who has registered as an innovator can also register themselves as a problem owner; when they have the challenge to pose on this platform.
- The challenges submitted on the platform will be subjected to screening by an internal panel of experts at Drishti. The challenges approved by the panel will be hosted on the portal. For challenges which are not approved, the service
charge will be refunded within 14 working days.
- The sectors addressed on the portal are those which are relevant to manufacturing but not limited to such as: Metal Cutting Manufacturing and process developments, Additive Manufacturing includes Metal additive, Special Purpose Machines
for various sectors, Micro and Nanomanufacturing, Ultra Precision Engineering, Robotics/Cobot’s and automation solutions, IIoT Solution development, Smart Manufacturing andti aims for the development of technology/ solutions with
an average lead time of not more than one year.
- In the case where there are no solutions proposed for a given challenge, a second attempt will be given for the said challenge with the same service charge and providing a more elaborate description of the problem. If despite the second
attempt there are no solutions proposed, the service charge will be refunded to the problem owner within 14 working days. I4.0 concepts, Multi-tasking machines, Special purpose Test rigs, Machine tool elements and sub-systems,
Alternate Materials/Smart Materials, Bio-medical system development, Nano technology-related projects like thin films, Nanomaterial synthesis, characterisation.
- The time for innovators to provide a solution depends on the complexity of the problem. However, Drishti aims for the development of technology/ solutions with an average lead time of not more than one year.
- The problem owner has to offer his budget price for different stages of the project (based on TRL) like a proof-of-concept, pilot plant demonstration and full implementation during the registration of the challenge itself.
- The solution will be executed in a project mode between the problem owner and the innovator.
- In cases where there are multiple innovators for a particular challenge, it is the discretion of the problem owner to either work with all the innovators in shared project mode or with any specific innovator/s.
- The problem owner and the innovator will be contractually bound by an agreement regarding the scope of work, timelines and payment terms.
- A non-disclosure agreement has to be signed by the problem owner with Drishti, before he can access the documents provided by the innovator.
- In cases where the problem owner has decided to withdraw amid the project, he has to forgo the already released fund to the innovator.
- Drishti verifies the authenticity of the winning innovator only to the extent of RBI mandated KYC.
- The problem owners and innovators can access the prototyping facilities available in the facilitation centre at CMTI by paying nominal charges.
- Currently, the innovator can accept up to 3 problems but work only on one. The innovator can attempt or apply to another project only after the completion is certified by the problem owner.
- The Terms and Conditions are subject to change anytime as desired so by CMTI.
